As electronic music
continues to evolve and fans look toward the future, it becomes
increasingly easy to forget its musical roots, which are planted
firmly in a rich mixture of funky soul and percussive disco. After
collaborating with many of his musical peers over the years to
produce some truly classic tracks for some of house music’s most
revered labels, Mark Grant now returns to his very own DJ roots for
Om Records to remind us where we came from and, at the same time,
show us where we’re going. Lushly textured in jazz tracks,
uplifting vocals and soul-stirring spoken word are mixed seamlessly
on three decks to create a warm disco gospel so deep, so rich and so
damn good you won’t be able to keep from dancing. Featuring tracks
by : Eddie Amador, Jerome Sydenham & Kerri Chandler and A Man Called
Adam.
