This CD mixed by Mark Grant proves what house music is all about.  Also a producer for Guidance, as well as Cajual, Grant knows how to rock the house.  Starting out with the epic hard drama of Green Velvet’s masterpiece “Answering Machine,” this is a peak hour set.  It’s predominately a set of sweet funk, groovy jazz and off-the wall black-to-the-future disco cut-ups.  The selected cuts, five Grant productions, along with recent gems from Glenn Underground, Braxton Holmes and others are put into the most brilliant light through Grant’s brilliant mixing and programming skills.  It commands attention through its simple and direct party vibe.  But because the music is deeper and more sophisticated than your average tracks, it’s also perfect for those hazy, 5am moments.  Simply put, if you can’t get the feeling here, you need to check your nervous system.
